Dustin Rhodes kicked off his wrestling career in 1988. Two years later, he joined WWE, where he met his first wife. Rhodes tied the knot for the first time with his then-WWE colleague Terri Runnels. Their marriage lasted for six years between 1993 and 1999 before they got divorced. The former couple has a daughter, Dakota Avery.
Three years following the end of his marriage to Terri Runnels, Dustin Rhodes married again. His second wife, Milena Martelloni, was not a wrestler. They remained together for only a year before they got divorced.

Nine years later, Rhodes tied the knot for the third time in his life with Ta-rel Marie Runnels. Although his third and current wife is not a wrestler, she works in the wrestling industry. Ta-rel Marie works at Kayfabe Entertainment and is the owner of Rhodes Wrestling Academy.
Dustin Rhodes joined AEW in 2019 as an in-ring performer and a coach. The 52-year-old is currently a regular competitor in Tony Khan's company. He recently went head-to-head with Gustavo at AEW Dark and came out victorious.
