WWE premiered its first RAW show on Netflix on Monday, January 6, 2025. It aired live from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California. Veterans and legends like The Undertaker, The Rock, and John Cena graced the arena with their presence. Top stars in the promotion were also featured on the show.

Given that it was a special occasion, WWE could have featured ex-WWE stars (who are now in AEW) through a video package or vignette to pay homage to their contributions to the company.

Here are five AEW stars we believe deserved a special mention on the RAW Netflix premiere.

#5. Jon Moxley (fka Dean Ambrose)

Jon Moxley was in World Wrestling Entertainment for around eight years. He wrestled in the developmental territory for a year before debuting on the main roster alongside his Shield teammates Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.

The trio was a huge hit in the promotion and Ambrose gained quite a bit of fame during his run with The Shield. Even after the faction disbanded, the erstwhile Dean Ambrose went on to have a successful singles career. He is a one-time WWE Champion, three-time Intercontinental Champion, one-time United States Champion, and two-time RAW Tag Team Champion.

#4. Cope (fka Edge)

Cope is one of the biggest names in pro wrestling that emerged out of World Wrestling Entertainment. He was associated with the Stamford-based promotion for around 27 years, although he spent eight years in retirement due to his neck issues.

He gave the fans many incredible matches to remember in his long career in WWE. The former world champion was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2012.

#3. Paul Wight (fka Big Show)

Paul Wight is one of the veterans in the industry and he spent a lot of time in WWE as well. He is known for his stint in World Wrestling Entertainment under the ring name 'The Big Show'. He has been a part of many marquee matches in the Stamford-based promotion.

While in WWE, Big Show became the 12th Grand Slam Champion and 24th Triple Crown Champion and is one of the most memorable big men to have competed in the promotion.

#2. Mercedes Mone (fka Sasha Banks)

Mercedes Mone recently defeated Mina Shirakawa at Wrestle Dynasty to win the RevPro Undisputed British Women's Championship. She kick-started her illustrious career in the world's biggest pro wrestling company under the ring name Sasha Banks.

She was one of the four horsewomen of the Stamford-based promotion who helped revolutionize the women's division. She, along with Becky Lynch, Bayley, and Charlotte Flair, helped significantly change the perception and raise the standards for female wrestlers in World Wrestling Entertainment and pro wrestling in general.

#1. Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho is perhaps one of the greatest to ever lace up a pair of boots and has earned a reputation for reinventing himself with new characters. Jericho was the first Undisputed WWE Champion in history and the final WCW World Champion, earning a significant place in the history books.

However, he was absent from the video packages and vignettes of the Stamford-based promotion on RAW. Jericho has won every title there is to win in WWE, but perhaps his association with a rival promotion prevented the company from including him in the show.
