#2. AEW dream bout: The Hardy Boyz vs. Jurassic Express
The current AEW Tag Team Champions are on the hottest run of their careers right now. Since winning the titles from Lucha Bros, they have been positioned as top dogs in a stacked division. Managed by Christian Cage, they would make natural enemies for Matt Hardy.
Hardy Boyz plus Edge and Christian had epic wars in WWE, making the TLC matches famous in the process. Speaking to Shakiel Mahjouri for ET Canada, Christian Cage stated that he was "sure" that Jeff Hardy's move to AEW would happen "at some point" in the future.
"Yeah, of course. There's so much history there and, obviously, I'm very close with Matt [Hardy] as well. It's been great to reconnect with him in AEW. He's kind of doing the same thing as far as mentoring the younger generation the same way. He's also got a wealth of knowledge. Jeff is an extremely talented guy. A really good guy. I'm sure at some point that will happen," Christian Cage said.
Perhaps the reunited Hardy Boyz could have a one-off match against the current Tag Champs? Jungle Boy's babyface connection with the audience is very much similar to Jeff's and it would be interesting to see the two stars face off.
#1. AEW dream bout: The Hardy Boyz vs. The Young Bucks
Clearly a dream match if Jeff were to join the company would be between Hardy Boyz and the Young Bucks. Nick and Matt Jackson essentially patterned their careers after the elder tag team to great success. The two teams have faced each other previously in other promotions but AEW would provide the biggest stage for this clash of generations.
Nick and Matt Jackson have even fueled rumors of Jeff Hardy possibly being the company's newest acquisition. Updating their Twitter bio, they simply stated:
"Bring us Jeff Harvey," wrote The Young Bucks.
Not only would fans be excited by the possibility but wrestling legends too. Veteran commentator Jim Ross talked up the potential storylines the Hardy Boyz could have if the company were to bring Jeff in:
"I hope someday; he is wrestling for AEW. It's a no-brainer. Can you imagine the Young Bucks and The Hardy Boyz? The Hardys and the Lucha Bros? The Hardys and FTR? The Battle of North Carolina. I'm all about this stuff. That's a year right there, easy," stated Jim Ross.
The potential dream match scenarios are endless, but it all begins with Tony Khan getting Jeff Hardy into the company.
