5 allegedly unhappy AEW stars Triple H could bring into WWE

AEW started in 2019 and has progressed considerably in less than a decade. However, it faces a unique problem: wrestlers on their roster are airing their disappointment in interviews and on social media.

This has caught the attention of wrestling fans and sparked a discussion about whether certain AEW stars would be better off in WWE or even NXT.

Taking that conversation further, here are five disappointed AEW wrestlers Triple H could sign:

#5. Miro could make another devastating run as Rusev

Miro and CJ Perry were two of the most over WWE entities during their stints as Rusev and Lana, but their storyline fizzled out when their characters changed. Since then, the two have left WWE, and Miro has revealed his disappointment working in AEW.

Miro's disappointment was highlighted during All Out in Chicago when he and Powerhouse Hobbs had a match. Miro defeated Hobbs in the hard-hitting match, but Hobbs decided to attack the Redeemer after the defeat. Miro's then-wife, CJ Perry, came out with a steel chair to defend her former husband, but the former WWE wrestler seemed unhappy about it and walked out of the segment.

Miro and CJ Perry have been in WWE before, so a return could be a homecoming moment for them, similar to CM Punk's return earlier.

#4. Britt Baker has said she's got zero promo minutes on AEW in 2023

In 2023, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. spoke about how she had no promo time in the company - a potential death knell to a character and a wrestler's career.

Britt's last match in AEW was on Collision in 2023, a losing proposition against Kris Statlander. Britt and Statlander were in a feud for the AEW TBS Championship, and the match provided a definitive answer to audiences wondering who was better in the ring.

Baker is naturally over and talented in the ring. The WWE women's roster is substantial and offers several opportunities for someone like her. Moreover, the former AEW Women's Champion could have a storyline with the former, inaugural AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill in WWE.

#3. Ricky Starks could have had it with 'being the last to know'

Ricky Starks has been in the news for the wrong reasons, including his verbal skirmish with Edge, which some fans think was the beginning of the end of his career in the Jacksonville-based company.

Starks is among the few wrestlers who have voiced their disappointment about how things and bookings work in AEW. It all started when Starks and Big Bill, then the AEW Tag Team Champions, were penciled in for a four-way tag team match with FTR, LFI, and House of Black at the Full Gear pay-per-view in 2023. At that time, he had wondered on social media "why he was the last to know?"

Starks is young and has potential. After all, he was one-half of the World Tag Team Champions with former WWE wrestler Big Cass. A high-octane, intense environment like NXT would be a great experience for him.

#2. Jeff Hardy could be looking for a homecoming as well

Jeff and Matt Hardy have had an incredible wrestling career, but it still needs a swansong, which, based on the brothers' posts, looks like something Tony Khan can't provide.

On the podcast Extreme Life with Matt Hardy, the former ECW Champion aired his disappointment about his stint in the Jacksonville-based company.

"When I first came back, it was pretty exciting. I didn’t know what was going to be happening in the near future, but I think the last time I was in this extreme dimension of y’all’s podcast, I said that in WWE, I felt like I was a ghost, just walking around backstage. Honestly, man, I kind of still feel like that at AEW, just because of not being involved in something cool. I feel like there’s something so special that we (Jeff and Matt) have within us to really bring out," said Jeff Hardy.

Matt Hardy hasn't re-signed with the company. There were rumors that Jeff Hardy's contract was supposed to run until 2025, but that's not the case.

#1. Konosuke Takeshita could be the increased Asian presence on the WWE roster

Konosuke Takeshita was supposed to do great things in AEW. But for some incomprehensible reason, he became a mere team member of the Don Callis Family and feuded with Blackpool Combat Club. Fans believe Takeshita is made for bigger things. Takeshita has said he no longer has fun wrestling.

“Everyone felt like they’re having fun wrestling here. I didn’t have any fun wrestling ever since I got to America. The effort was bearing fruit, but I didn’t feel the enjoyment. It was the most mentally exhausting period in all 12 years of my wrestling career. However when I stopped having fun, my matches were better received and I gained more recognition. And it's not proportional,” he said.

Would any of these wrestlers take the bait if WWE Creative approached them? Time will tell.
