#4 AEW's long-awaited Blood & Guts match ended divisively
In the main event of AEW Dynamite: Blood & Guts, The Inner Circle and The Pinnacle finally went to war.
The buildup to this bloody showdown was excellent, and the match as a whole ended up being an exhilarating affair. Along with Sammy Guevera, stars like Wardlow and Jake Hager impressed viewers early in the contest. However, the battle eventually came down to MJF and Chris Jericho.

The finish to Blood & Guts also involved the leaders of both factions. MJF and Jericho brawled at the top of the cage, but it was the former's last-minute strategy that forced The Inner Circle to surrender.
MJF threatened to push the veteran off the top of the cage, which eventually broke The Inner Circle's members. But in true heel fashion, MJF threw Jericho down even after the match ended.
Of course, the impact of it all was slightly affected when it became obvious that Jericho had landed on a cardboard-covered crash pad. But MJF's narrative was quite excellent, as his ascent to the top of the cage symbolized his potential rise to the top of AEW.
Although fans and critics are divided over the finish of Blood & Guts, it worked effectively from a creative standpoint at the end of the night.
