#3 AEW possibly set up a future match between Cody Rhodes and an Olympic medalist
On AEW Dynamite, Cody Rhodes and QT Marshall continued their rivalry in a one-on-one contest.
Though many felt it should have ended in a disqualification, the match itself was good, thanks to a few shenanigans involving QT and Arn Anderson. A disqualification finish isn't something that fans usually want to happen, but AEW's frequent non-use of such calls doesn't always make logical sense.
Towards the end of the match, Cody defeated his former best friend with a figure four hold.
The post-match events were certainly interesting, as Anthony Ogogo attacked Cody to make a defiant statement. In recent memory, Ogogo's professional boxing and Olympic background has prompted AEW to build him up as a legitimate threat.
Although Ogogo is a member of QT Marshall's faction, he could overshadow the latter star in the long run. After all, Cody has defeated QT twice in a row, and Ogogo has been presented as an indestructible force in the meantime.
Cody Rhodes and Anthony Ogogo will likely fight each other soon. AEW's upcoming Double or Nothing pay-per-view could be the perfect stage for their showdown.
