The Inner Circle's war council segment was the final part of this week's AEW Dynamite, and it did not disappoint.
The purpose of the war council segment was to bring a change or introduce a new strategy within The Inner Circle. As MJF was about to reveal what this change would be, Sammy Guevara interrupted him on AEW Dynamite.

Even though Guevara had previously cut ties with the faction, he revealed a piece of evidence that shook Chris Jericho's group to its core. He secretly shot some footage showing MJF planning to overthrow Jericho as the Inner Circle leader.
When Guevara and Jericho were cornered in the ring, another twist occurred during the segment. Instead of betraying Jericho, everyone turned on MJF instead. On behalf of The Inner Circle, Jericho kicked MJF out of their faction.
MJF looked desperate at one point, which is when the biggest twist of them all took place, much to the surprise of fans and viewers alike. MJF revealed that he had formed his own faction. The lights went out immediately. FTR, Tully Blanchard, Wardlow, and Shawn Spears were in the ring when the lights turned back on.
Members of AEW's newly-formed faction took out The Inner Circle. Jericho was brutalized and power-bombed off the stage at the end of this week's episode.
In the previous show, FTR, Tully, and Shawn supposedly allied together as some connections to the Four Horsemen were made. AEW fans had no idea that this would all connect to MJF and Wardlow's storyline with The Inner Circle.
As a whole, the inner conflict within The Inner Circle was a long-term angle executed properly. Sammy Guevara has reunited with The Inner Circle, and the entire group seemingly turned babyface on AEW Dynamite. It will be interesting to see how this war between two factions will play out over the next few weeks.
