5 CM Punk matches we don't want to see in AEW

Like with all previous entries, there are a few reasons CM Punk should not face Matt Hardy in AEW.

Punk and Hardy have a long history. They squared off against each other several times in WWE. Hence, there is nothing new for the fans to see if they fight each other again.

Also, like the four previously mentioned AEW Stars, Hardy does not fall into the young talent category. The former WWE Superstar is 46 years old, four years older than Punk. Facing him would drift Punk away from his main goal in AEW, which is to work with passionate young stars, as he stated.

The third reason why putting Hardy in CM Punk's way is not the best booking AEW could make is that the 46-year-old is doing very well since his debut in March 2020.

The Broken One rarely loses a match in AEW. It would be smart to continue pushing Hardy instead of killing his momentum by making him lose to the returning megastar.
