Since AEW's inception in 2019, Chris Jericho has remained an important figure in the Jacksonville-based promotion. The first-ever AEW World Champion helped the Tony Khan-led company gain a massive headstart, as his presence helped legitimize the promotion in the eyes of the audience.

The Lionheart has witnessed the growth of AEW from an exciting startup to the second most valuable wrestling promotion in the American market. The FTW Champion is an irreplaceable member of the AEW roster, having been a part of many memorable moments in the Jacksonville-based promotion.

While Jericho fought Will Ospreay at All In last year, he is yet to find his opponent for the upcoming All In 2024 event. In this article, let's look at five directions for the FTW Champion ahead of the All In pay-per-view.

#5. Concludes his feud with Hook at All In

Chris Jericho has been at odds with Hook for months. The duo had a brief run as a tag team before Jericho eventually turned his back on his partner. The Learning Tree dealt another huge blow to the 25-year-old by dethroning him as the FTW Champion.

The loss against Chris Jericho derailed all the momentum Hook had accumulated over the years. The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil lost his intimidating onscreen presence, which has had a negative impact on his popularity. After months of back-and-forth, All In would be the best place for the two rivals to settle their differences once and for all.

Hook will be adamant about tearing apart The Learning Tree, who brutally injured his tag partner Samoa Joe, essentially writing him off television. Meanwhile, Chris Jericho would hope to take down Hook for the final time at All In to end their long-standing rivalry.

#4. Chris Jericho continues his rivalry with Minoru Suzuki

Chris Jericho may have developed issues with a dangerous individual, who could make The Learning Tree pay for all his wrongdoings. The star in question is Minoru Suzuki, who recently fought The Lionheart in a hard-hitting FTW Championship match.

Although Suzuki couldn't win the FTW Championship, he left enough battle scars on Jericho's body to ensure a rematch between the two veterans. In a backstage interview, The Learning Tree revealed that he got his finger broken in his match against The Murder Grandpa.

As per the FTW Champion, the issues between him and Minoru Suzuki are far from over. Considering his frequent appearances in AEW of late, it wouldn't be a bad idea to feature the 56-year-old legend on the All In card. Following his defeat against Will Ospreay last year, Chris Jericho would want to redeem himself at the All In by defeating The Murder Grandpa.

#3. Chris Jericho battles a returning Kota Ibushi

Kota Ibushi recently returned to pro wrestling after a six-month-long absence from the squared circle. The Japanese veteran recently made his comeback to DDT Pro Wrestling after seven years to battle Sanshiro Takagi.

Now that the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion is healthy again, a return to All Elite Wrestling could also be on the cards. With AEW All In less than a month away, Kota Ibushi would be eager to come back and be a part of the much-awaited pay-per-view.

If Ibushi does return to AEW in the coming weeks, his paths could cross with Chris Jericho, who has been wreaking havoc in the company as of late. The Golden Star could find himself on the radar of Mr. Y2J, who was Ibushi's tag team partner less than a year ago.

From Kenny Omega to Hiroshi Tanahashi, a number of NJPW legends have fallen victim to The Learning Tree in recent years. Kota Ibushi would like to change this trend at All In, if he decides to stand up against Chris Jericho.

#2. The reigning FTW Champion feuds against PAC

Pac has had a mixed run as of late. However, The Death Triangle member is extremely frustrated with his recent shortcomings and hopes to stage a turnaround very soon.

The Man That Gravity Forgot recently laid down a challenge for the AEW International Championship, which sadly doesn't seem to be leading to anything. If Pac cannot challenge for the International Title at All In, he could set his sights on Chris Jericho's FTW Championship.

The two individuals previously battled each other in 2016 in WWE. Unfortunately, Pac suffered an ankle injury during this match, which forced him to sit on the sidelines for months. It has been eight years since that incident, and Pac is yet to get a rematch against The Learning Tree.

The situation could change in the coming weeks if The Death Triangle kicks off a faction war with Chris Jericho's heel group. Having endured many disappointing losses in recent months, Pac could bring his AEW career back on track by slaying The Lionheart on his home turf.

#1. A debuting Ricochet takes on The Learning Tree at All In

Chris Jericho has assumed the role of a gatekeeper in the last two years. Any exciting talent that signs a deal with AEW often finds himself in a rivalry with Jericho weeks after his debut.

Ricochet is arguably the hottest free agent in pro wrestling at the moment. After finishing up his contract with WWE, The One and Only is heavily rumored to be heading to All Elite Wrestling soon. If the former Intercontinental Champion arrives in AEW before All In, he could emerge as a challenger for Chris Jericho's FTW Championship.

As Jericho continues to build his faction, The Lionheart will surely approach The Future of Flight with an offer to accept his mentorship. Ricochet would likely reject Jericho's offer, much to the dislike of the FTW Champion. The exchange could cause tensions between Ricochet and Chris Jericho, resulting in a match at All In 2024.
