After a four-month hiatus, Hangman Page has returned to the squared circle. On the latest episode of Dynamite, the Anxious Millennial Cowboy overcame a resilient Jeff Jarrett to advance into the semifinals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

Page has returned to AEW television with a widely changed demeanor. His recent shortcomings have frustrated him, bringing out the aggressive side of Hangman as he looks to run through his competition in the Owen Hart Cup.

Hangman Page was also involved in a backstage segment with The Young Bucks on Dynamite, where he outright rejected doing any business with The Elite. If he goes to the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, several intriguing scenarios will open up for him to explore.

In this article, we will examine five possible directions for Hangman Page after his return with a new persona.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

#5. Feuds with Bryan Danielson after losing the Owen Hart Cup Finals

If Hangman Adam Page defeats Jay White in the semifinals, he will be against a determined Bryan Danielson in the Owen Hart Cup finals. Despite him donning a new persona, there's a good chance that The Hanger comes up short against The American Dragon, who is currently the biggest favorite in the tournament.

Another significant defeat might drive The Cowboy insane, prompting him to set his sights on Danielson. After missing out on a potential world title shot, Hangman Page could set out on a mission to make Bryan's life a nightmare.

Page could go to any lengths to prevent The American Dragon from winning the AEW World Championship after the latter crushes his dreams in the Owen Hart Cup Finals. It would be a solid way to reignite their 2021 rivalry, which was not fully explored then.

#4. Goes after Kazuchika Okada's AEW Continental Championship

On the latest episode of Dynamite, Hangman Adam Page officially cut his ties with The Elite. The Cowboy grabbed Matt Jackson to inform The Young Bucks that he would no longer be their puppet.

Since The Elite itself got Hangman Page a spot in the Owen Hart Cup, the group would be infuriated after being disrespected. The tyrant faction may retaliate against its former ally by costing him the win in the finals of the prestigious tournament.

After his shocking elimination from the Owen Hart Cup, an enraged Hangman Page could set his sights on Kazuchika Okada, who currently leads The Elite. They could start a solid mid-card rivalry that elevates the prestige of the AEW Continental Championship.

Having beaten some mid-card talents so far, The Rainmaker could face his toughest challenge when he faces the former AEW World Champion.

#3. Hangman Page targets a debuting Ricochet

Following the expiration of his WWE contract, Ricochet is reportedly all set to join All Elite Wrestling soon. While many fans expect Will Ospreay to be Ricochet's first opponent in AEW, it would be better if The One and Only spent some time getting familiar with the promotion’s audience before eventually entering a feud with The Aerial Assassin.

Hangman Adam Page could be a solid choice to pit against Ricochet after the latter debuts in the Jacksonville-based promotion. An established main event talent like Hangman could help him get over with the AEW audience. Going up against an exciting babyface like Ricochet will also benefit The Cowboy, who has recently embraced his dark side on AEW television.

Known for cutting passionate promos, Page could force The One and Only to up his game on the mic during their rivalry. As for their in-ring duel, It is guaranteed that the two stars will weave magic when they lock horns.

#2. Joins Team Elite for Blood & Guts

Despite the ongoing tension between Hangman Page and The Young Bucks, a common enemy could help bring the two sides on the same page. The common enemy is Swerve Strickland, who has seemingly entered a rivalry with the New Elite on Dynamite.

A few weeks ago, The Young Bucks approached the AEW World Champion to join them for their upcoming Blood & Guts match against Team AEW. Not only did Swerve reject the offer, but he also teased standing up for the babyfaces in their war against The Elite.

Hangman Page's issues with Swerve Strickland are well-documented. The amount of torture that Page suffered at the hands of The Killshot is what triggered his transformation from a beloved babyface to a bitter heel. If The Cowboy fails to win the Owen Hart Cup, he could align himself with The Elite for their Blood & Guts encounter with Team AEW.

The alliance would allow Hangman Page to get his hands on Strickland inside the deadly double-caged structure, where he could end his rivalry with The Killshot.

#1. Hangman Page faces Swerve Strickland at AEW All In

Swerve Strickland has risen as a legitimate world champion in recent months, while Hangman Page has continued a downward spiral. Interestingly, the two stars could be headed toward an epic rematch if The Hanger outlasts Bryan Danielson in the Owen Hart Cup Finals.

Having embraced a heelish persona, Page might not refrain from using unfair means against The American Dragon. If The Anxious Millennial Cowboy somehow gets the better of Danielson, he will punch his ticket to a world title match at AEW All In, where he could finally settle his scores with The Killshot.

At the moment, Hangman Page appears as the only credible threat to Swerve Strickland, who has been invincible as a champion. Considering their mutual hatred, Swerve vs. Hangman could be the most-anticipated match on the All In card.
