#2 The Usos vs The Lucha Brothers
While the Usos have long been considered one of the best tag teams on the globe, the Lucha Brothers only just feel like they are earning the credit their talent deserves.
The AEW World Tag Team Champions took the gold from the Young Bucks at All Out earlier this year in a sleeper pick for match of the year. The cage match was a reminder of the talent the brothers possess and was an exceptional prelude to their reign. It's one that has seen them dominate Dynamite and Rampage in their feud with FTR.
While the topic of the day when discussing the Usos is work rate, not enough is said about their in-ring psychology and physicality, two more traits they share with Fenix and Penta.
Part of what has made their rivalry with the New Day work is their ability to craft something entirely unique and familiar altogether, bringing something new to the table each time they meet.
The Lucha Brothers have been able to demonstrate this knack with FTR and Santana and Ortiz before. It makes all too much sense that the Lucha Brothers and the Usos would be sure to capture that same lightning in a bottle should they ever cross paths.
#1 The Usos vs The Young Bucks
When discussing tag team dream matches, there are none more touted than that of the Young Bucks vs the Usos. There is so much lore to their eventual collision that you may be forgiven for believing they have crossed paths before. But it would seem the hype is a byproduct of the success and similarities the two duos share.
Comparisons have been made over the years, but 2021 kicked it up a notch when both the Usos and the Young Bucks joined their promotion's top heel champions, Roman Reigns and Kenny Omega, respectively.
The Elite faction comprised of Omega and the Young Bucks reigned atop AEW as world and tag champions, and the Bloodline trio of Reigns and the Usos did the same on the SmackDown brand of WWE.
The Young Bucks vs. Usos is so much more than just the Elite vs. the Bloodline, however. It's the Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua of tag team wrestling. The long-awaited clash between two of the best tag teams in the world, and a superkick party to settle the long-argued debate.
