#1. AEW star Aubrey Edwards - Stephen Chiavelli
A few years before becoming an AEW star, Aubrey Edwards graduated from DigiPen Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Following her graduation, she became a video game producer.
Edwards is also married to a man who works in the video game industry. Her husband, Stephen Chiavelli, is also a DigiPen graduate and video game developer.
Chiavelli had previously tried his luck in pro wrestling. He competed for a few years in a promotion called 3-2-1 BATTLE!, where his wife later kicked off her refereeing career, too.
"My husband trained as a wrestler. He had been wrestling about a year and a half at that point, so we worked together a couple times. He recently retired. He’s a lot older than I am. They asked me to try it and I did and I sucked. I needed work. I started training. Two months later, I did my first show in July 2017," Edwards said on Talk Is Jericho last year.
Following his retirement from in-ring competition, Chiavelli focused on his work in the video game industry. According to his LinkedIn profile, he currently works as a Senior Software Engineer at Red Lens Games.
Chiavelli's wife joined AEW in 2019 to become the promotion's first full-time female referee.
