The upcoming AEW All Out pay-per-view could very well be the time and place for Sting and Darby Allin to tease their dissension. There's no doubt the duo has been entertaining ever since the company paired them up.

But what's the endgame here for both face-painted superstars? If we turn back the clock, the mentor-student relationship has eventually turned into a full-blown rivalry. Triple H and Seth Rollins gave one of the best mentor-student rivalries in recent memory.

AEW absolutely SHOULD use Punk vs Darby as the reason for Darby Allin to "turn" on Sting.Darby vs Sting angle for a bare minimum of 6 months.Then have a Punk vs MJF angle from September through June.

AEW hasn't chosen this route since its inception. However, that could change if Sting accidentally costs Darby Allin against CM Punk. At this point in time, CM Punk is a clear favorite. But the company could initiate a whole new angle by pulling off this outcome.

Sting is in incredible shape and could embark on a singles run moving forward. The Icon facing Darby Allin down the road could be the perfect passing of the torch moment. The storyline could turn Darby Allin from a rising mid-card star to one of the company's top wrestlers.

Darby Allin could embrace the dark side at AEW All Out!

One shouldn't rule out the possibility of seeing Darby Allin turning heel during or after the match with CM Punk.

Darby Allin will be heading into the biggest match of his career, and he's certainly laser-focused to pin CM Punk in the middle of the ring. However, The Straight Edge Superstar could quickly crush his momentum.

In the aftermath, AEW star CM Punk could end up taking a beatdown from Allin. As exciting as the match sounds, it is essentially a babyface vs. babyface feud. Turning Darby Allin into a sadistic heel would do wonders for him moving forward.

Sting could also be left in a state of shock, and Allin could turn on him too if the legendary Icon tries to stop him.
