#2. Setting the stage for an Okada debut
Let's say that Jay White's primary goal in AEW is to expand his Western chapter of Bullet Club - as he's already done by recruiting Chris Bey and The Good Brothers. But if he's looking to spread his influence in Tony Khan's promotion, he'd hardly be the first NJPW faction there.
A few months ago, the NJPW stable Chaos recruited multiple All Elite wrestlers to its ranks, most notably Best Friends (Trent Beretta, Chuck Taylor, and Wheeler Yuta).
Within the course of his first few weeks in AEW, White has already antagonized this chapter of Chaos by attacking Beretta. The following match between the two saw White come out on top, but it's doubtful that's the end of the affair.
If White brings in BC backup from NJPW or IMPACT, we might soon see a showdown between the Western chapters of Chaos and Bullet Club. And if that's the case, what better time to bring in the leader of Chaos himself, Kazuchika Okada?
Fans have waited years for Okada's famous coin to drop on AEW television. With wrestlers like Orange Cassidy and Best Friends now officially part of Chaos, it seems only a matter of time until The Rainmaker debuts in All Elite Wrestling.
#1. He's seeking an AEW World Championship shot
All the potential storylines highlighted so far are rooted around White further expanding Bullet Club or settling old scores against former rivals. However, there is also a very distinct possibility White could be there to challenge Hangman Page for the World Title.
In NJPW, Page and White had a brief but very entertaining feud over the United States Championship, with White coming out on top. The Switchblade would no doubt lord this over Page if they ever met again, and The Hangman is known to be susceptible to such provocation.
Jay White may be embroiled in a feud with Best Friends for now, but if he sticks around, we're sure to see him pursue the AEW World Championship somewhere down the road.
