Kenny Omega and Adam Cole go back a long way. They’ve teamed up on a few instances in NJPW and have also competed against each other in their wrestling careers.

However, fans have not yet seen a full-blown rivalry between the two men. Behind the scenes, Cole and Omega are good friends who have praised each other’s work in the ring. The Cleaner has been asked about his views on WWE NXT, and he has praised a few workers on the brand, including his friend Adam Cole.

"The Wednesday night thing, I love a lot of those NXT guys. A lot of them are my friends. I love to see them doing well, I love it when I hear when they’ve had a good match or performance. It’s great. If I heard the card in advance and I knew two of the guys, for example, I’m a big fan of Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly. If I knew they were going to have a great match on Tuesday, I’d be like ‘hey, maybe that’s something worth checking out guys," said Kenny Omega.

If Cole does jump ship and joins AEW, fans can expect these two men to get in each other’s face sooner rather than later. The promotion could be the perfect place for a full-blown rivalry for a top championship between the two friends.
