3) AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam will have one of the most stacked cards in AEW history
AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam sold out within the first day that tickets went on sale, without the card being announced for the show. Skeptical fans thought that All Elite Wrestling might not give fans a big card, given the fact that the show is coming off the heels of a landscape-shifting All Out 2021 pay-per-view.
Instead, All Elite Wrestling went full trottle in giving the New York City fans a pay-per-view quality card for the Grand Slam special. The genuine dream match on this show will see AEW World Champion Kenny Omega taking on Bryan Danielson in his official AEW in-ring debut. Alongside that huge encounter, Cody Rhodes will make his in-ring return against his rival Malakai Black.
Plus, CM Punk will have an in-ring interview ahead of his first TV match in seven years at AEW Rampage: Grand Slam. The aforementioned AEW Women's World Championship Match between Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. and Ruby Soho will be sure to deliver. There will also be another grudge match when Brian Pillman Jr. takes on MJF.
Plus, Sting and Darby Allin will team up to face FTR after their assault on the babyfaces on this week's AEW Dynamite. There is also the possibility of Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston facing NJPW's Minoru Suzuki and Lance Archer after the show-closing brawl.
Additionally, the crowd at Arthur Ashe Stadium will also get to enjoy the AEW Rampage: Grand Slam card as well. This show will be a special two-hour event that will feature CM Punk's first televised match in seven years against Team Taz's Powerhouse Hobbs.
After their confrontation with Dan Lambert and American Top Team, Chris Jericho and Jake Hager will battle The Men of the Year. The main event for this card will see Adam Cole and the Young Bucks face Christian Cage and Jurassic Express in a huge six-man tag team bout.
All in all, Grand Slam will be a pay-per-view across two nights on television. For live fans, though, it will be one jam-packed night in New York City.
