With the latest signings for AEW, many fans have been fantasy booking the dream matches that they most want to see from the promotion. CM Punk, Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole are the perfect storm of main event talent to add to the multitude of talented stars who were already apart of this roster.
Bryan Danielson is coming off the heels of a very successful run with WWE before he joined AEW. After his triumphant rise through the ranks of the biggest promotion in wrestling, Danielson's career was cut short in 2016 when he retired due to concussions and neck injuries. But Bryan fought diligently to return to the ring, and he successfully came back in 2018.
After his in-ring return at WrestleMania 34, Bryan Danielson couldn't find his footing in WWE until he turned heel and defeated AJ Styles to win the WWE Championship. His Planet's Champion reign was some of Bryan's best work, and it culminated in him dropping the gold to Kofi Kingston at WrestleMania 35.

At All Out 2021, Bryan quickly inserted himself at the top of the card by interrupting AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and The Elite. On the September 8th episode of AEW Dynamite, Danielson made a challenge to Omega for a singles bout.
The following week, Bryan Danielson once again laid down the challenge, but Don Callis initially turning him down.
