As much as one talks about the athletic component of pro wrestling, the only reason why one chooses to watch scripted and orchestrated combat is that there's a story attached, and while the concept of a Jon Moxley vs. Kenny Omega match was exciting before this...the idea of a rematch is pure money.
Now, the audience wants to see Jon Moxley get his revenge on Kenny Omega to defeat him for the AEW World Championship at some point down the line. If this match was the biggest one in AEW history, the stakes just got even bigger.
Is this the beginning of a shift in power in the pro wrestling landscape with Kenny Omega as the face of the change?
