#2 Fans need a babyface champion in AEW
The current belt holders in AEW are Kenny Omega, Miro, The Young Bucks and Britt Baker. While they are all amazing wrestlers, they are all bad guys. There needs to be at least one babyface champion for the fans to rally behind and for the company to position as the true face of the company.
This becomes even more important as AEW will be on the road again starting next week. Road Rager will be taking place in Miami, as opposed to Jacksonville, which hosted all Dynamite episodes in the pandemic era.
While Kingston is unlikely to become the face of the company outright, like Jon Moxley or Cody Rhodes, the fan reaction for Kingston and Penta dethroning the despicable Young Bucks would be deafening.
Not only as a celebration of Kingston's journey but also because of the heat the Young Bucks have built up. It would be a career highlight for both. More so for Kingston, whose character is less about his ring-work and more about his ability to captivate an audience.
