When done properly, it is a guaranteed success. We've seen this storyline play out in every era and it never disappoints. We most recently saw the year-round story of Sammy Guevara winning the Stadium Stampede for his team having eaten the pin a year before.

The Elite, particularly the Young Bucks, have been bolstered by the Good Brothers and Don Callis. They have run roughshod over the AEW roster, constantly standing tall to close out various episodes of AEW Dynamite.
So far, they've not been on the receiving end in a way that would mean fans can go home satisfied. There's only so long you can keep fans waiting to see the bad guys get what they deserve before they stop caring. And whilst The Young Bucks have played their obnoxious characters perfectly, the time is fast approaching for them to get the comeuppance fans are waiting for.
