#1 Santana & Ortiz - AEW

AEW All Out 2021 marks the two-year anniversary of Santana and Ortiz's debut in AEW. The two New Yorkers had built a solid reputation for themselves on the independent scene before they came to IMPACT Wrestling. There, they proved to be one of the best tag teams in the world by winning the IMPACT World Tag Team Championship four times.

Upon their arrival in the promotion, the duo quickly joined forces with AEW World Champion Chris Jericho, Jake Hager and Sammy Guevara to form The Inner Circle. This stable has become a mainstay in the company, and it has been featured in many unforgettable moments.

From the first two Stadium Stampede contests to the first Blood and Guts match, Santana and Ortiz have regularly been in the spotlight with The Inner Circle. That being said, the former IMPACT World Tag Team Champions have shined without their group as well. Proud and Powerful defeated The Young Bucks in their first AEW pay-per-view at AEW Full Gear 2019.

Santana and Ortiz were also in the tremendous Parking Lot Fight against Best Friends last year, which is considered one of the best AEW Dynamite matches of all time. Though they lost an AEW World Tag Team Championship bout against The Young Bucks earlier this year, All Out seems like an ideal time to run it back.

With so many big-time major events on the horizon for AEW, there are plenty of suitable stages for Proud 'n' Powerful's moment to arrive. But seeing Santana and Ortiz challenge for the gold on the two-year anniversary of their debut at All Out could be the best path forward.

If AEW made the match a three-way contest between them, FTR and The Young Bucks, Santana and Ortiz could defeat their two rival tag teams in the biggest match of their career. The huge AEW Dynamite Grand Slam event at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York could also be a perfect opportunity to give the two native New Yorkers a huge hometown pop. The crowd would certainly go wild if Santana and Ortiz won the gold in Queens.

Whichever event the promotion chooses for the team's crowning moment, Santana and Ortiz have more than proven themselves worthy of being titleholders. They have delivered in every way, and they have been underrated for far too long. That's why Santana and Ortiz are be the best choice to be the next AEW World Tag Team Champions.
