4. Triple H rematch against Sting
Triple H last faced The Icon in 2014. A match decades in the making and seemingly one last hurrah for Sting. Unfortunately for him, Triple H took the win as a result of his signature sledgehammer. This finish upset many long-term fans as it seemed like Vince McMahon's way of reminding us that WWE won the Monday Night Wars.
Sting has since then made his surprise debut at AEW, mentoring Darby Allin and having matches at 62 years old. The Icon has a lot of steam left and has gone up against some young talent in AEW. Sting isn't stopping anytime soon and could stand toe-to-toe with the 52 year old Triple H.
At AEW there would be some tension between the two. Either man would definitely interrupt the other at the first opportunity they get. Because of the more mature nature of AEW, both men could have a far more brutal match. Exercising the tension from 2014 with an unbelievable match.
Whatever could happen, the end of this match should not end with humiliating either legendary wrestler. Triple H and Sting have had glorious careers and one last great match would only solidify that.
3. Triple H could have a feud with Ricky Starks
"Absolute" Ricky Starks is currently the FTW champion, a belt given to him by Taz. His current run is very reminiscent of a heel version of The Rock, down to the glasses and sleeveless jackets. But Starks has never gone against anyone of the caliber of Triple H.
Triple H also faced Stark's mentor, Taz, twenty years ago and could be a great way to cause some tension. Taz could hold a grudge and make sure he does everything possible to make sure Starks wins. This feud would naturally make Triple H the fan favorite and he'd have the crowd behind him.
Starks might not be as physically strong as Triple H, but picking up a win or even lasting long against him would be impressive. Starks would have the opportunity to prove that he is "Absolute" by pinning The Game.
Alternatively, Triple H could stay a heel and cause Starks to act the role of a good guy for the first time in AEW. Regardless of the outcome, the quality of the promos and in-ring work would make this a must-see.
