4. Varsity Blondes Need More Appearances on AEW TV
Varsity Blondes is a very talented team in AEW. Brian Pillman Jr. is more notable amongst the two. His appearance on the Dark Side of the Ring episode increased his star appeal.
However, we just cannot ignore Griff Garrison. This guy was a successful college football player. He is a natural athlete with the gift of good looks. With Julia Hart in their corner, the team seems quite likable.
A WWE Hall of Famer isn't a John Cena fan. More details HERE
Varsity Blondes primarily teams up on AEW Dark and Dark:Elevation. Their most notable TV show appearance was against The Young Bucks last year. Brian Pillman Jr. is a popular choice for singles action. Recently, Malakai Black Black Misted Julia Hart. Then faced off against Griff Garrison only to feud with Pillman Jr.
This could be counter-productive for the team’s future. Varsity Blondes have tremendous potential as a tag team. AEW should focus on their team appearances in TV matches rather than pushing Brian Pillman Jr. as a singles star.
3. The Acclaimed was not rewarded for their consistent entertaining act in AEW
AEW’s Max Caster and Anthony Bowens are arguably the most entertaining duo right now. Caster’s freestyle rapping before every match is awesome. He draws a ton of “heat” before the bell rings. Bowens’ wrestling prowess, perfectly complements his partner. They have a cool heel finisher for hitting their opponents with a boombox.
Despite all of that, they remained as an undercard act. They haven’t given any solid feud to work on. They haven’t given any PPV matches as a team.
This is likely to be attributed to Max Caster's rapping controversy regarding Julia Hart. Caster was reported to be out of action for a month after the incident. The Acclaimed should be given a second chance to shine. They have a lot of things to offer.
