AEW star Kenny Omega took over the reins of The Bullet Club years after Balor left NJPW. Omega led the faction for several years, along with The Elite.
Balor and Omega also had a rivalry for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship in NJPW. Backstage, the two men became good friends and traveled together around Japan.
Fans have seen a few videos of the two friends behind the scenes. They have also poked fun at each other on social media.
Balor took to social media and posted a photo with AJ Styles to congratulate Omega on his win in the 2016 G1 Climax tournament.
“Wishing Congrats to our friend & colleague @kennyomegamanx on his#g1CLIMAX victory. Not carrying the torch, he is raising the bar. One of my all time favorite opponents in the ring, I have no doubt we will either be side by side, or face to face in the future.”
Balor has already hinted that the two men will fight side by side or against each other at some point. The Prince is currently busy making a mark on SmackDown, while Omega is leading AEW.
