3. Toni Storm was set to be a big star in WWE but could be bigger in AEW
Toni Storm was an upcoming star in WWE and even had a shot at the SmackDown Women's Championship. Storm also competed in the Queen's Crown tournament but was shockingly eliminated in the first round.
This treatment paled in comparison to her NXT UK run where Storm was the Women's Champion. Fan outcry against her underwhelming main roster run was loud, but nothing changed and Storm requested her release from WWE.

For fans who might not know, Toni Storm and Britt Baker are real-life friends. Baker has likely already set up this debut, and it's only a matter of time before she debuts.
2. Windham Rotunda (Bray Wyatt) could return to wrestling with AEW
Windham Rotunda was a fan favorite in WWE right before his release. The star had numerous memorable moments in the promotion and at the time carried the promotion on his shoulders.
His release was one of the most shocking releases, even more so than Adam Scherr - who ironically was his former stablemate. Since his release, the star has not appeared as a wrestler on any platform.
However, if Windham Rotunda ever plans to return to wrestling, All Elite Wrestling would be the perfect place for him. The creative freedom he'd enjoy would allow fans to see what Rotunda truly is capable of.
1. Jeff Hardy reuiniting with his brother Matt in AEW
Jeff Hardy is one of the most recognizable names in professional wrestling. Hardy stayed behind in WWE when his brother Matt left the company for AEW in 2020. The Charismatic Enigma could have been made into a megastar, but long before alleged personal demons and issues with WWE led to his release.
Hardy has announced his return alongside his brother, so the Hardy Boyz will more than likely move to AEW to continue their final run. Jeff and Matt will go down as two of the greatest wrestlers. All Elite Wrestling would make history being the place where this legendary tag team retires.
