#3 Cody Rhodes reinvigorates his passion for AEW and wrestling...thanks to a celebrity?

Next week on the AEW Dynamite special, Cody Rhodes makes his in-ring return in a highly-anticipated rematch against Malakai Black. When they first faced off on Dynamite a few weeks ago, Black beat Rhodes decisively, with the latter seemingly contemplating retirement.

While this was a good time away for him to spend with his family, he is now back. This week on AEW Dynamite, Malakai Black specifically spotted celebrity actor Rosario Dawson in the front row and went to confront her because she was wearing Cody Rhodes merchandise.

She didn't seem to back down either, and Cody Rhodes came through the crowd. This allowed Dawson to jump onto Malakai Black for enough time before Cody began the attack.

Admittedly, this was slightly odd. While Cody Rhodes was advertised to return anyway, it seemed like AEW was inferring that a celebrity ended up bringing him back. With that said, it had a positive crowd reaction, so anything negative we have to say doesn't hold as much weight.

However, whether Cody Rhodes will beat Malakai Black next week or not on AEW Dynamite is yet to be seen. It seems unlikely at this point.
