2. SHOULD: Adam Cole is more recognizable than Hangman Page
Hangman Page might be over with the fans, but Adam Cole still makes fans cheer for him as a heel. This is something very few wrestlers can pull off. AJ Styles, Stone Cold, Edge and Hulk Hogan are notable names who have succeeded in being cheered heels.
The legends mentioned above are some of the biggest names in wrestling and have shaped wrestling in their respective eras. Cole has the same "something" and AEW needs to capitalize on this.
Fans drowned out a popular wrestler with 'She's a racist' chants recently
1. SHOULD NOT: Hangman Page needs to fight Kenny Omega in a rematch
"Hangman" originally dethroned Kenny Omega to capture the AEW Championship. Omega would then reveal that he was suffering from multiple injuries and vertigo during his matches. Because of this, fans never got a 100% Omega against a 100% Hangman.
If anything, fans deserve to see these two old friends go head-to-head after Omega returns. It would also be a good angle for the former AEW Champion to work upon his return, possibly recapturing his title too. Unfortunately, there has been no official word on when "The Cleaner" will return to AEW, but it will be in 2022.
1. SHOULD: Adam Cole needs to be the champion when Kenny Omega returns
While both of the final reasons include the former "Belt Collector", both wrestlers have history with him.
Before departing to take care of his injuries, Omega had a segment with the Young Bucks and Cole. Omega then decided who should run The Elite in his absence and Adam Cole immediately stepped in. Much to the dismay of the 32-year-old star, Kenny Omega denied his offer.
The subtle clash between the two was very evident, so much so that it could easily be a new angle. Cole as champion, with ReDragon and Jay White at his side would make him formidable. Omega would have to fight the new top guy who took over while he left.
