Adam Copeland is a professional wrestler and actor who hails from Canada. After he departed from the WWE, he is currently performing on All Elite Wrestling (AEW). He performed in WWE from 1998 to 2023 as Edge. He made his professional debut in 1992 and took part in several independent circuits as an individual and tag team as well. He gained popularity for his performances in Tables, Ladders, and Chairs matches. He also appeared on WCW Pro in 1996 as Damon Striker.

Copeland won his first-ever title the WWF Intercontinental Championship in 1999. He framed a group with his closest companion Christian Cage and came out on top for the World Tag Team Title in several events. Copeland brought home the WWE Title (4 times), World Heavyweight Title (7 times), WWF/E Intercontinental Title (5 times), WCW US Title (once), World Tag Team Title (12 times), WWE Tag Team Title (twice). He also won King of the Ring in 2001, the inaugural Money in the Bank in 2005, Royal Rumble (2010 and 2021). He is the 14th Triple Crown Champion and Third Grand Slam Champion.

Copeland has beaten the competition for the most number of titles all through the whole history of the WWE with 31 titles. He is the 8th man to win the Royal Rumble twice, the 3rd man to win it as the 1st participant, and the first to win it right after being enrolled into the WWE Hall of Fame. He has highlighted various PPV events for WWE, including WrestleMania 24 and 37. He is one of the association's most useful PPV performers. He was drafted into the Hall of Fame as the Class of 2012.

Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI) named Copeland the Most Improved Grappler of the Year in 2001, the Most Hated Grappler of the Year in 2006, and the Inspirational Grappler of the Year in 2021. Moreover, Copeland was set in the second spot among the main 500 grapplers in 2007 by PWI.

Early Life

Copeland became a wrestling enthusiast since childhood. Randy Savage, Ricky Steamboat, Mr. Perfect, Bret Hart, and Shawn Michaels were his favorite wrestlers. He went on to watch his favorite wrestlers at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto after meeting his tag team partner and friend Jason "Christian" Reso when he was 10 years old. He cheered WWF World Heavyweight title holder Hulk Hogan against The Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania 5 in 1990. According to him, that match inspired him to become a professional grappler. He won the prize to have free wrestling training with Ron Hutchison and Sweet Daddy Siki after he won an essay competition in his local gym when he was 17 years of age. However, he left the opportunity to help his mother to earn money for his family. Before becoming a professional grappler, Copeland received a diploma in radio broadcasting from Humber College and also took several jobs.
