4. Cody Rhodes (AEW Record: 44-15-2)
Last years ranking: #3
Cody Rhodes has been a very busy man since this time last year. After becoming the inaugural AEW TNT Champion and losing it to the late Mr. Brodie Lee, Cody won the title for a second time, but lost it to Darby Allin. After his multiple TNT Championship wins, Cody was involved in a feud with NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal and teamed up with Red Velvet to face Shaq and Jade Cargill, even putting over The Big Aristotle.
After the Shaq feud, Cody feuded with former Nightmare Family memeber QT Marshall and his new stable The Factory, and more recently feuded with Malakai Black.
Outside the ring, Cody and his wife Brandi Rhodes welcomed their first child, and the family has their own reality show on TNT called Rhodes to the Top. Despite the crowd's reaction over the past couple of months changing for "The American Nightmare," Cody Rhodes is seen as one of the avenues to connect more casual fans to AEW.
3. FTR (AEW Record: 34-6 when teaming)
Last years ranking: #5
Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood are widely considered one of the greatest tag teams in wrestling today, and AEW books them as such. One could make the argument that FTR isn't used as much as they should be on AEW television, but when they are used, they make it known just how good they are.
Their 63 day reign as AEW Tag Team Champions is the shortest reign in the title's history which may seem criminal to some. But one of AEW's brightest spots since the company's inception has been its tag division. However, when looking at FTR's losses in AEW, it's hard to say that any of them were against lesser talents. The pair recently defeated the AEW Tag Team Champions, the Lucha Bros., to become the AAA World Tag Team Champions.
