Heading into AEW All Out 2021, Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. has been reigning as AEW Women's World Champion since defeating Hikaru Shida at Double Or Nothing 2021 in May. She is one of the biggest stars in the entire company and has been victorious in her first two title defenses against Nyla Rose and Red Velvet.
Kris Statlander is the current Number One Contender in the women's division rankings. Statlander suffered an ACL injury in a bout against Britt Baker in June of 2020.
She has been undefeated since her return from the injury back in March of this year, picking up key wins over Penelope Ford and Nyla Rose. That set the stage for this showdown at AEW All Out 2021.
Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. and Kris Statlander haven't been given a concrete storyline of sorts. Despite their history with one another, All Elite Wrestling haven't told this to the viewers.
Statlander has looked impressive in every outing that she has been in, especially her two on one handicap win over Rebel and Jamie Hayter on the September 3rd, 2021 episode of AEW Rampage.
Kris Statlander is on a long winning streak and has been one of the best-built challengers for Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. so far. However, AEW All Out 2021 doesn't seem like her night. Baker is too hot of a character and star for the company right now, so this feels like the most predictable contest on the whole card.
