MJF vs. Chris Jericho at AEW All Out

The stakes were high in this one. If Chris Jericho lost the bout, it would be his last AEW match.

MJF rolled out of the ring as soon as the bell rang and tore up a couple of fan signs before getting back in. MJF and Jericho finally locked up, with the latter starting the stronger.

The match quickly headed out to ringside and into the fans. Jericho was all over MJF as they brawled their way back into the ring. Back in the squared circle, Jericho hit his signature springboard dropkick.

The former AEW World Champion tried to follow up with a baseball slide dropkick, but MJF pulled the ring skirt, trapping Jericho and following it up with several clubbing blows. Back in the ring, MJF started working on Le Champion's shoulder.

Jericho hit back with a bulldog and followed it up with a backbreaker, getting a nearfall off the ensuing cover. MJF quickly fought back and hit a Heatseeker on the apron.

Luckily for Jericho, the momentum caused him to roll out to ringside so that MJF couldn't make the cover. Jericho managed to beat the 10-count, but MJF followed him back out to ringside. The Pinnacle Leader launched himself at Jericho, who caught him in midair and powerbombed him into the apron.

Back in the ring, Jericho headed to the top rope. It looked like he was attempting a double axehandle, but MJF caught him with a Codebreaker. Both men made it back to their feet as Jericho hit the 10-count punches in the corner. MJF countered with a powerbomb but was clearly favoring his back.

Jericho headed to the top rope again, hitting a Codebreaker this time but only getting a 2-count. Wardlow came out at this point, but Jake Hager met him and fought him to the back at AEW All Out.

With the referee's back turned, MJF hit Jericho with Floyd the baseball bat and followed it up with the Judas Effect. The referee didn't see Chris Jericho's foot on the rope, and it looked like his AEW career was over.

MJF def. Chris Jericho?

Referee Paul Turner came out and explained what happened and got the match restarted. Jericho went for a roll-up but only got a nearfall. He then locked in the Liontamer, forcing MJF to tap out at AEW All Out.
