CM Punk vs. Darby Allin at AEW All Out

CM Punk made his in-ring AEW debut next as he faced Darby Allin. This was Punk's first match in more than seven years.

CM Punk sat down in the middle of the ring after getting in, staring at Darby Allin, who was sitting in the corner. There were "holy s**t" chants before the match even began.

A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.

The bell finally rang for CM Punk's in-ring AEW debut. Both men felt each other out before Darby Allin locked in a hammerlock. Punk made it back to his feet, but Darby Allin got a quick roll-up before Punk took him down with an elbow strike. Punk then locked in a headlock.

Darby took back control with an arm drag after bouncing off the top rope. He followed it up with a Coffin Splash in the corner.

CM Punk replied by tossing Darby Allin into the ring post, causing him to fly out of the ring. CM Punk locked in a modified Bow and Arrow lock back in the ring, but Allin reached the bottom rope.

Punk followed it up with a backdrop before taking a moment to gather himself. Darby bounced off the ropes and charged at Punk, who caught him with a Tilt-A-Whirl backbreaker.

Soon after this, Darby Allin had Punk in a precarious position and headed to the top rope, looking for the Coffin Drop at AEW All Out.

Punk was back on his feet and joined Allin on the turnbuckle. Darby Allin countered Punk's attempted suplex. The Straight Edge Superstar got a backslide, which he transitioned into the GTS. However, the momentum carried Allin out of the ring. Allin managed to beat the count but didn't have much left at AEW All Out.

CM Punk picked Darby Allin upon his shoulder for another GTS, but Allin countered with repeated elbow strikes. Darby Allin then headed to the top rope and took out Punk with a dive at ringside. He rolled Punk back in the ring and headed to the top rope but missed the Coffin Drop as Punk sat up. The Straight Edge Superstar went for the GTS, but Allin broke free and got a nearfall off the cover.

Punk finally hit Darby Allin with another GTS, and that was enough to put him away at AEW All Out.

Result: CM Punk def. Darby Allin

Grade: A

Sting came out after the match and shook Punk's hand. Punk, in turn, shook Darby Allin's hand for a feel good moment at AEW All Out.
