AEW Battle of the Belts Results: New champion crowned, Former WWE star challenges for title

Dr. Britt Baker (c) vs. Riho (AEW Women's Championship match)

Former AEW Women's Champion Riho started the match strong, hitting a couple of dropkicks, forcing Baker to roll out of the ring. She then headed to the top rope and wiped out Rebel at ringside. Baker used the opening to hit Riho with a Slingblade.

Baker and Jamie Hayter went to set up a table at ringside but Riho wiped out Hayter before rolling the champion back in the ring. Riho with a missile dropkick. She went to follow it up with a meteora but Baker stopped her in her tracks and sent her face-first into the turnbuckle. She followed it up with a butterfly suplex for a two-count.

Riho fought back with body scissors followed by a double stomp. The challenger seemed to have found an opening and followed it up with a running knee strike in the corner. Riho followed it up with the Tiger Feint Kick but only managed a nearfall. She headed to the top rope but Rebel shielded the champion from Riho's double stomp, putting her own body on the line.

Britt Baker then hit Riho with an Air Raid Crash. Baker went for the Lockjaw but Riho had it scouted and went for the bottom rope. Baker repositioned her opponent but Riho rolled her up for a nearfall. Britt Baker replied with a Curb Stomp but Riho kicked out at two.

Riho capitalized on the confusion between Baker and her entourage to hit a Crucifix Bomb for a nearfall. The latter hit back with a superkick and another Curb Stomp and it still wasn't enough to put her opponent away. This time Baker managed to get the Lockjaw locked in and forced Riho to tap out.
