#4 The Varsity Blondes were highlighted in a tag team match against Chris Jericho and MJF; Sammy Guevara and MJF had an interesting backstage segment on AEW Dynamite
On last week's AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho and MJF emerged as the winners from a triple threat tag team battle between members of The Inner Circle.
This week, MJF and Jericho continued their tag team spree against The Varsity Blondes (Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr).

Jericho has received online criticism over some of his in-ring sequences over the past few weeks, but Le Champion hit back at his critics during the final few moments of the aforementioned tag team match. Jericho put down Pillman Jr. with a Judas Effect. Instead of going for the pinfall, he followed that up with a perfect Lionsault. Of course, he used the very same move for which he was criticized last week to earn the victory on this week's AEW Dynamite.
The Varsity Blondes will gradually become a major AEW tag team one day, and matches like these act as building blocks for their eventual push.
Even though The Inner Circle were victorious this week, Sammy Guevara and MJF were certainly not on the same page on AEW Dynamite. After all, it was Wardlow's interference that earned MJF and Jericho the victory on the previous episode, and Guevara was still unhappy about that finish.
Later backstage, MJF tried to convince Sammy Guevara that Wardlow did not act on his orders last week. The Spanish God didn't seem convinced at all, as both men couldn't come to a resolution amongst themselves.
Could this long-term storyline build to a singles clash between Sammy Guevara and MJF in the future?
