#2: Hikaru Shida successfully defended the AEW Women's Championship against Anna Jay, after which she got spooked by a returning Abadon
The Dark Order's Anna Jay earned a well-deserved shot against the AEW Women's World Champion, Hikaru Shida, this week. Jay's recent victories had been the catalyst behind this match, but most AEW fans knew that Shida wouldn't be losing her title last night.
Tay Conti's presence near ringside to support Anna Jay was an interesting subplot. Conti is a babyface, and she was a bit hesitant to support Jay's heelish tendencies during this bout. The Dark Order ended up being an important factor in this match, but Shida still prevailed as the victor.

After the match, Abadon returned to AEW as droplets of blood dripped in her trail. She freaked out Hikaru Shida and made it clear that the AEW Women's Champion will be Abadon's next target.
Abadon was set to be pushed before this week, but she suffered a potentially serious injury against Tay Conti recently. Abadon has won all of her AEW matches so far - not including the draw - except the one occasion where she lost against Hikaru Shida. Abadon might be the most intimidating feud for Hikaru Shida in AEW, so it will be interesting to see what happens next.
