Unlike most of Jon Moxley's AEW opponents, Eddie Kingston brings something unique to the table in terms of storytelling and promos.

Kingston may not be the most threatening challenger to step up to Jon Moxley, but he has one of the strongest backstories with the AEW World Champion, compared to the majority of Moxley's feuds that came before this one.

This week, every aspect of Kingston and Moxley's story surfaced in an intense confrontation, where words spoke louder than actions, for a change of pace.

Kingston had promised to bring the AEW World Title home to his mother, but him possibly failing to live up to that promise was brought up by Moxley this week.

Kingston highlighted how the AEW World Champion left him behind to enter the land of sports entertainment (WWE), but this point alone wasn't strong enough to stop Moxley from getting the better of his opponent on the microphone last night.
