#1 Best/Worst: Possibly spoiling the outcome of Hangman Page vs. Kenny Omega at AEW Full Gear?
The aftermath of the contract signing between Hangman Page and Kenny Omega tonight may have shed some light on the possible outcome of their AEW world title match at Full Gear.
Both men engaged in a heated war of words before making their bout official. However, Omega was hiding a big surprise up his sleeve. He distracted The Cowboy by offering a handshake, thus allowing Don Callis, disguised as a cameraman, to ambush from behind.
Callis hit Page with a camera on his head, thus busting the fan-favorite star's head open. The Cleaner then finally signed the contract with Hangman Page's blood.
The entire segment worked pretty well. But in pro wrestling, having your champion or challenger suffer a beatdown before the pay-per-view spoils the outcome. After what transpired tonight, it looks like fans will be in for a title change this Saturday.
There's no doubt that the feud between Page and Omega needed intensity, but was the attack necessary? The company could have ended their segment with both men shaking hands for the sake of their rich history. It probably would have kept fans in bated breath thinking who would walk victoriously out of the two.
