Because of Sting's physical limitations at his age, he did not get physically involved in the segment with Team Taz on this week's edition of AEW Dynamite. However, a vast majority of the AEW Dynamite audience did feel a little underwhelmed, judging from the reactions on social media, because the whole pointing the bat shtick may get old very soon indeed.
Imagine being one of the suckers that tuned in tonight because you heard Sting was advertised and expected something substantial 🤣#AEWDynamitepic.twitter.com/L3aMmiBF05

Yes, Sting looks like a beast even at his age, and yes, he did go without speaking for a year in the 90s, but it's a different era now.
One has to believe that he needs to do something a little more substantial in the following episodes of AEW Dynamite, and maybe even get booked in a multi-man tag team match in a sense, for the audience to care as much about the legendary performer.
Cody Rhodes, Darby Allin, and Sting vs. Team Taz, either on AEW Dynamite or on pay-per-view could be a very safe match for the legend to compete in, in due course.
