#3 Best/Worst: Paul Wight aka Big Show's AEW Dynamite debut mistake
Unfortunately for Paul Wight, he was not able to make a clean debut on AEW Dynamite.
Paul Wight is a legend of the business. He has been wrestling for several decades now, and his appearance on AEW Dynamite helped add to the importance of the show. However, the fact that he botched on his debut certainly took away from the moment.
Wight was out with Tony Schiavone to help advertise AEW's new Elevation show. He will be a color commentator there, but before that, he went on to hint at a surprise, saying that a Hall of Fame-worthy superstar would be signed by AEW at the upcoming pay-per-view.
However, instead of calling AEW's pay-per-view Revolution, Big Show made his first mistake, calling it the name of a WWE pay-per-view instead — Evolution. Fans soon noticed and the mistake was pointed out on social media. This is the second time in a few weeks that AEW has accidentally mentioned WWE after Jim Ross called Kenny Omega the WWE Champion.
It was a small mistake, but one that need not have happened, and took away from the moment of his debut. Hopefully, the coming weeks of the legend will more than make up for it. Despite the botch, Wight's AEW Dynamite debut was momentous and it was strange seeing him as part of any show other than WWE after so many years with the company.
