Darby Allin and Sting make quite a formidable AEW pairing
#2 Worst: A lack of direction for AEW Dynamite star, Hangman Page
Ad
Pretty good lil match, obviously the botchy Max jump was what it was but still a pretty good match. Page a freaking ⭐, Max and The Acclaimed has really really grown on me, didn't like the gimmick at 1st but now really into it, great stuff lads🍻 #AEWDynamite
Yes, Hangman Page won the AEW Dynamite opener and is now the No.1 ranked star in the singles division. And yet, there's just something about his overall booking that doesn't really feel like it has a sense of direction. He has great matches, he has a beer gimmick, but that's about it.
The same can be said for Hikaru Shida as well. While it feels like everyone on the roster is growing around her, there is an air of stagnancy around Shida which shouldn't be the case if she's the AEW Women's Champion. Let's hope they are both momentary lulls before these performers are back in the mix once more.
Coming back to Hangman Page, who was touted to be the face of AEW Dynamite when the promotion first got underway, it just seems like he needs a feud to sink his teeth into. Similarities can be drawn with Jeff Hardy in WWE, who's not being booked to his fullest potential. Why not have Page mix it up with Paul Wight?
