Yes, on AEW Dynamite, we did see a stunning twist! Billy Gunn has turned heel, and he is likely to head into a feud with Paul Wight following the giant's upcoming match with QT Marshall.
This is not a bad thing at all. Wight needs to rack up a few wins to build up his momentum before he puts the younger guys over. A victory over Marshall and another one over Gunn before he puts someone like, say, Luchasaurus over, sounds like a good path forward.
Jim Ross is the voice of pro wrestling and nobody, especially this reviewer, will ever take that away from him. Unfortunately, he had a major slip-up during AEW Dynamite, as he referred to Paul Wight by his WWE name!
It did not happen once but twice during the AEW Dynamite broadcast. Ross was on fire through the rest of the night, as were Excalibur and Schiavone. But yes, sometimes those one or two errors stand out.
