Hikaru Shida had a chance to make history on AEW Dynamite this week as a potential victory could have made her the first female superstar to win 50 matches in the promotion. However, her opponent Serena Deeb had other plans.
Both superstars took turns to dominate the match before Serena used a serenity lock to force Shida to tap out.

Following the match, Deeb took the glass trophy meant for Shida and cracked it into two halves on the latter's head. They are expected to extend their feud over the coming weeks and deliver brutal matches, which would be a great way to build up to Shida's monumental 50th victory in the company.

#1 Flop/Hit on AEW Rampage: CM Punk cuts a promo, challenges Daniel Garcia
Ad
CM Punk returned on AEW Dynamite to talk about how he invested in the pro wrestling business even when he wasn't actively competing inside the ring. It was a decent segment, but it's Punk, and following one of the biggest in-ring returns in pro wrestling, he needs to do more.
If not, his doubts about 'fans getting bored of Punk chants' might come true sooner rather than later.
A great part about this segment was him giving away his Jordans to a kid in the audience who was dressed like Orange Cassidy. He is now expected to face Daniel Garcia on Rampage later this week.
Expectations are high for Punk's upcoming match, and fans are hoping that he will soon be involved in a memorable feud in the promotion. Also, do we have a potential heel turn on the cards? Given his popularity, CM Punk can afford to adopt a villainous character and put over more talents on the show.
