#3 Best/Worst of AEW Dynamite: Jon Moxley loses the IWGP US title to Lance Archer
Lance Archer and Jon Moxley could not have had a more brutal match in the main event of AEW Dynamite. Night two of Fyter Fest saw Moxley and Archer battle in a death match as they took things to the next level from the moment they entered the ring. There was not a single wasted moment, as they used kendo sticks, chairs, barbed wire, tables, forks, and everything else at their disposal to batter each other.
By the time the match ended, both of the AEW wrestlers were bleeding freely. Neither man held back in the slightest as they looked to make the other suffer.
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
Since winning the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship, Moxley had not been the most active champion, but in the past few months, he has defended the title multiple times. To the audience, it felt like by the time the match ended, nothing would change and he would hold on to the title. They could not be more wrong.
Moxley set up two tables outside the ring and looked to hit the Paradigm Shift through the barbed wire sheets he had placed on top of them. Archer reversed and chokeslammed him through them instead, ending the match with Archer as the new IWGP US Champion when Moxley could not get back to his feet for the ten-count.
Thus, the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship changed hands on an episode of AEW Dynamite. It was unexpected and gave the fans something to talk about. The post-match confrontation between Hikuleo and Lance Archer also did great in setting up their upcoming bout.
