Brian Cage will defend his FTW Championship against the returning Ricky Starks in the upcoming Fyter Fest edition of AEW Dynamite.
This will be Ricky Starks' first match in over three months as he suffered a fracture to his neck during a match against Hangman Page on the April 21 episode of Dynamite earlier this year. Luckily, he was able to recover from it without requiring neck surgery.
During his recovery period, Starks made regular appearances on AEW Dynamite episodes. The company has done a commendable job building up a feud between Brian Cage and Ricky Starks without involving any physicality. The beef between the two men kickstarted when Starks provoked Brian Cage to use unfair means to win his matches.
However, the FTW Champion denied any such help, which led to a massive conflict among Team Taz. Cage has also teased a babyface turn during this rivalry, but a full-blown turn is yet to happen.
The bout between the two former friends will be a delight for fans as both men will be coming with all guns blazing.
As far as the outcome goes, Brian Cage will most likely win the battle, which could force Team Taz to turn on him. This will lead to Brian Cage possibly going his separate ways from Team Taz moving forward.
