Hikaru Shida vs Nyla Rose on AEW Dynamite (TBS title tournament)
Both women started off strong but it was Nyla Rose who took control early. Shida fought back, forcing Nyla Rose to roll out of the ring.
Rose quickly hit back, using her strength advantage to toss Shida knee-first into the turnbuckle. The former AEW Women's Champion went crashing out of the ring and Nyla Rose followed her outside.
Shida sent Nyla Rose crashing into the barricade and went to set up a steel chair. Rose attacked Shida and made her sit on the chair. Nyla then headed to the apron and went for a crossbody. However, Shida got out of the way, causing The Native Beast to crash through the steel chair.
Shida then rolled Nyla Rose back into the ring. Vickie Guerrero tried to get involved from ringside at this stage but Shida took her out with a strike with the kendo stick.
Nyla Rose took back control of the match once again, locking in a submission hold. Shida managed to reach the bottom rope. She then sent Rose crashing out of the ring once again and took her out with a dive.
As Shida rolled Nyla Rose back in the ring, Serena Deeb came out and blindsided her, hitting a chopblock to the knee.
Nyla Rose failed to finish Shida off and the former Women's Champion locked in a Triangle Choke. Rose powered her way back to her feet and hit a powerbomb followed by a senton to the knee. Nyla then locked in a Modified Stretch Muffler to force Hikaru Shida to tap out.
