Lucha Brothers vs. Varsity Blondes (semi-final of the AEW World Tag Team Title eliminator tournament)

The AEW World Tag Team Champions, The Young Bucks, and their entourage were on the entrance ramp to watch the match.

Fenix and Griff Garrison started the match off. Garrison caught Fenix in midair early on, but the luchador reversed it. He then showed off some incredible athleticism before tagging out. Garrison also tagged out.

Brian Pillman Jr. was in no mood for Penta's mind games and caught him with two right hands. Penta hit back with a book, and Pillman Jr. replied with a superkick. He then hit a hurricanrana but spent too long gesturing to the fans, allowing Penta back into it.

Penta and Fenix were in complete control as we headed into the commercial break. They had Brian isolated in their corner, but he managed to tag Garrison in. The Varsity Blondes took control of the match on AEW Dynamite, with Garrison working on Penta's arm.

Both Penta and Griff tagged out. Fenix caught Pillman Jr. with a superkick and followed it up with a springboard dropkick. He then dropped Garrison with a spinning kick before hitting Pillman Jr. with a cutter. Garrison broke up the count at the last second.
