AEW Dynamite Results: Huge title change, Former WWE star officially signs, WCW legend calls Cody a "loser"

Dante Martin and Matt Sydal vs Cody Rhodes and Lee Johnson on AEW Dynamite

Cody Rhodes and Dante Martin started things off on AEW Dynamite. Cody quickly locked in a side-headlock before both men tagged out.

Dante Martin came back in and went back and forth with Lee Johnson. They then went face-to-face as their tag partners came into the ring. Cody tossed Matt Sydal outside and went for an Escelera but missed. Sydal then connected with a Meteora before Johnson took him out with a dive. Dante Martin then laid out both Cody and Lee Johnson with an incredible leap out of the ring.

Back in the squared circle, Cody and Dante Martin went back and forth as Cody hit the youngster with a powerslam. He then delivered a Disaster Kick to Sydal at ringside followed by a Vertebreaker to Dante Martin for a nearfall. Sydal came in and took Cody down with a boot to the head.

Lee Johnson tagged himself in and took Sydal down with a boot to the jaw. Dante Martin rolled him up for a two-count. Lee Johnson then finished the match off for his team, pinning Dante Martin.

Result: Cody Rhodes and Lee Johnson def. Dante Martin and Matt Sydal

Tony Schiavone was in the ring with a mic as Cody called out Malakai Black. Arn Anderson said he'd had enough and he had seen Malakai destroy the Nightmare Family systematically. Arn then accused Cody of being a "loser" before inviting Lee Johnson to come to the back with him.
