Cody Rhodes to challenge Sammy Guevara for the AEW TNT Championship

Sammy Guevara was being interviewed by Tony Schiavone on AEW Dynamite when Cody Rhodes' music hit.

Cody said that Sammy Guevara's open challenge was going well and said that he would be challenging for the title on the Christmas day episode of AEW Rampage.

Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky appeared in the crowd. Page asked what he would have to do to get his title match, Scorpio Sky said that Sammy Guevara needed to step up to the plate and prove that he was a champion.

Jamie Hayter vs Riho on AEW Dynamite

Jamie Hayter had the clear size and power advantage but that didn't stop Riho fom laying in the strikes early on.

They didn't have much effect and Hayter planted her with a suplex. Jamie then swatted aside a dropkick before hitting a gutbuster followed by a running back elbow in the corner.

Britt Baker got involved from ringside while the referee was distracted. Riho took Hayter down with a flying crossbody forcing her to roll out to ringside. The former AEW Women's Champion headed to the top rope and dove at Hayter again. Hayter picked up Riho and ran her into the ringpost.

Back in the ring, Hayter sent Riho crashing head-first into the turnbuckle. Hayter dominated through the commercial break.

Back from the break, Riho hit a double stomp to buy herself some time. Riho fought back with right hands before going for a roll-up and followed it up with a Dragon Suplex for a nearfall. Hayter replied with a brainbuster for a nearfall of her own.

Riho hit back with a Code Red followed by a double stomp from the top rope. It wasn't enough to put Hayter away. Jamie had the former Women's Champion on the top rope but Riho fought back with elbow strikes and hit an Avalanche Crucifix Bomb. She followed it up with the running knee strike to pick up the win.

Result: Riho def. Jamie Hayter

Grade: A

Britt Baker blindsided Riho after the match and took her out.

Hook's debut announced on AEW Dynamite

Taz announced on AEW Dynamite that his son Hook would be making his in-ring debut on AEW Rampage agianst Fuego Del Sol.

Malakai Black takes out Julia Hart on AEW Dynamite

The Varsity Blondes were with Tony Schiavone for an interview on AEW Dynamite. The lights went out and Malakai Black appeared. He spat the mist into Julia Hart's eyes before disappearing.
