The Inner Circle Team Meeting on AEW Dynamite
The Inner Circle came down to the ring on AEW Dynamite without Santana and Ortiz. Chris Jericho said that he hadn't seen Santana and Ortiz all day when their music hit.
Jericho demanded to know why Santana and Ortiz didn't tag him in in their match two weeks ago. Santana replied that he felt that Jericho only cared about himself, adding that whatever they had focused on had been for the betterment of Le Champion.
He added that whenever he and Ortiz had a chance to advance themselves and go for gold, they were forced to pivot and come to help Chris Jericho.
Santana added that they didn't have a bigger spotlight because of Jericho but it was the fans who kept them going. He added that if it hadn't been for Ortiz, he would have dropped Jericho long ago.
Chris Jericho asked Santana what Eddie Kingston had ever done for him. Jericho said that unlike Kingston, he was the influencer in AEW and since he had brought them in, they had made more money and had been in more main events than before.
Jericho added that Santana and Ortiz had had their shot at tag team gold but they had come up short. He added that he had brought Santana and Ortiz into the Inner Circle and he could kick them out as well.
Santana and Jericho came to blows and were pulled apart by Sammy Guevara. Sammy said that he didn't know what was going on but the Inner Circle was family. He said that until Jericho and Santana could figure out their issues again, he was quitting the Inner Circle again.
Ortiz then challenged Jericho and Hager to a tag team match next week on AEW Dynamite. Jericho replied that after he and Hager smacked them around, they would have a shift in attitude.
