Cody Rhodes vs Andrade El Idolo on AEW Dynamite

The crowd were behind Cody as the match started on AEW Dynamite, which came as a surprise seeing how large sections of fans have been booing him since his in-ring return during Grand Slam week.

Andrade slapped Cody across the face. The American Nightmare forced him to back into the corner before both men ended up brawling on the apron. Cody jumped down to the floor and swept Andrade's feet down from under him.

Back in the ring, Andrade took control before Cody hit back with an attempted Cody Cutter. Andrade blocked it and pushed him off the top rope. Cody seemed to favour his knee at this point.

Back in the ring, Andrade was in control as he booted Cody in the corner. He then hit his patented double knees in the corner for a two-count.

Cody tried to hit back with the Figure-Four but Andrade blocked it and locked in one of his own. However, Cody was able to reverse the pressure, forcing Andrade to break the hold.

The finish saw Cody go for a dive when FTR came out from under the ring and hit him with the AAA Tag belts. Andrade then finished Cody off with the Hammerlock DDT.

As FTR and Andrade celebrated after the match, Arn Anderson got into Tully Blanchard's face. The Lucha Brothers then ran out to chase the heels away.
